Humans of Destiny Institute is a transdisciplinary research and practice institute dedicated to understanding and cultivating human participation in a living reality.
Our research explores how belonging, participation, and continuity shape human flourishing across persons, communities, cultures, and living systems.
Through research, education, and innovation, we seek to bridge scientific, Indigenous, philosophical, and spiritual knowledge in service of a more relational future.

By advancing the Field of Deep Belonging, we explore how belonging, participation, and continuity shape human development, knowledge, culture, and the living world—and translate these insights into research, education, and practical action.

Guided by Living Knowledge
Our work is deeply informed by Indigenous knowledge systems, particularly the teachings of Yankunytjatjara Elder Tjilpi Bob Randall and the principles of Kanyini and Tjukurrpa.
These teachings have profoundly shaped our understanding of participation, continuity, responsibility, belonging, and coherence across human and living systems.

Participation explores how living systems become through relationship. People, communities, cultures, and ecosystems develop through ongoing participation with others, places, knowledge, and the wider living world. We investigate how participation shapes identity, meaning, creativity, responsibility, and flourishing.
Continuity
What continues across time and change?
Continuity investigates how life persists and regenerates through change. We study the processes through which knowledge, identity, relationships, memory, responsibility, and living organisation endure and are renewed across individuals, communities, cultures, and generations. Continuity provides the temporal foundation through which belonging and participation can remain living and generative across changing forms.

Through science, art, music, storytelling, visual learning, and experiences for children and adults alike, Humans of Destiny transforms research into Living Knowledge—knowledge that can be understood, shared, embodied, and passed from one generation to the next.
