Our Mission

We investigate the fundamental processes through which people, communities, and living systems flourish. By advancing the Field of Deep Belonging, we explore how participation, continuity, and coherence shape human development, knowledge, culture, and the living world—and translate these insights into research, education, and practical action.

UNDERSTAND

Advance understanding of how participation, continuity, and coherence give rise to human flourishing across individuals, communities, cultures, and living systems.

CONNECT

We bring together Indigenous knowledge, science, philosophy, and lived experience to deepen understanding across disciplines and cultures.

TRANSLATE

We transform knowledge into research, education, and practical action that benefits people, communities, and the living Earth.

Research & Creative Team

The Humans of Destiny Institute is built through collaboration. Our team brings together complementary expertise across Indigenous knowledge, psychology, systems science, philosophy, archaeology, education, and the arts. United by a shared interest in participation, continuity, and coherence, we work together to advance the emerging Field of Deep Belonging and develop new approaches to human flourishing.

Our team is growing. Full biographies, research interests, and current projects will be added soon.

What We Do

We work across three interconnected domains.

Foundational Inquiry

Exploring coherence, participation, continuity, consciousness, and the nature of living systems.

Human Flourishing

Investigating belonging, purpose, healing, creativity, and human development.

Applied Transformation

Applying these insights through education, community programs, leadership, technology, and regenerative practice.

Shaping the Field of Deep Belonging Together

Understanding grows through relationship. Deep Belonging is an emerging interdisciplinary field exploring how participation, continuity, and coherence give rise to human flourishing. We bring together researchers, Indigenous knowledge holders, scientists, educators, artists, and practitioners who are advancing this shared inquiry across disciplines, cultures, and ways of knowing.

Human flourishing invites many ways of knowing. Deep Belonging creates conversations through which they can explore shared questions together.

Contributors to the Field

Deep Belonging is an emerging field. This page will gradually introduce researchers and collaborators whose work contributes to its development.
