Kanyini and African Sufi Wisdom

We explore the profound philosophical convergence between Yankunytjatjara Elder Uncle Bob Randall and Malian Sufi sage Tierno Bokar. Although they originate from vastly different cultural landscapes, both teachers describe a relational ontology where unconditional love and vibration serve as the fundamental laws of the universe. Randall’s concept of Kanyini emphasizes an indigenous ethics of connectedness and responsibility toward all creation, while Bokar’s mysticism presents existence as a divine frequency linking the visible and invisible worlds. By weaving these lineages together with contemporary spiritual ecology, we argue for a universal intelligence of belonging that transcends geographic boundaries. Ultimately, we suggest that recognizing this interdependence is essential for healing modern fragmentation and fostering a global culture of reciprocity and care.
