The Restoration of Participation
Research Focus
We explore a relational theology of prayer, reimagining it as an active participation in the restorative work of the Holy Spirit. By examining biblical imagery of divine breath and contemporary views on communion, we argue that the Spirit consistently moves to repair fragmented relationships and renew life. Within this framework, prayer is a conscious alignment with God’s ongoing efforts to foster healing and reconciliation. This movement from isolation toward connectedness strengthens the bonds between the individual, the community, and the Creator. We also suggest that through the Spirit, prayer serves as a vital practice for human flourishing and the recovery of spiritual continuity.
