The Physics of Belonging
Research Focus
We redefine human connection as a process-relational framework that maintains stability across psychological, social, and ecological scales. We integrate nonlinear systems theory with Indigenous relational ontologies, specifically the concept of Kanyini, to explain how individuals and communities preserve continuity over time. By examining the dynamics of synchronization and the impact of societal fragmentation, we argue that belonging is a fundamental organizational principle essential for systemic health and resilience. We advocate for a multidisciplinary approach to restoring relational coherence in an increasingly disconnected world.
